Journey of the Universe
On July 21st & 22nd, The Murie WILD Series was pleased to present Yale Senior Lecturer and Senior Scholar, Mary Evelyn Tucker, and her husband, Yale Senior Lecturer and Senior Scholar John Grim and their acclaimed documentary, Journey of the Universe.
Big science, big history, big story—this one of a kind JOURNEY OF THE UNIVERSE film/book/educational series has been created by a renowned team of scientists, scholars, and award-winning filmmakers. Beautifully filmed in HD on the Greek island of Samos, birthplace of Pythagoras, Journey is hosted by acclaimed evolutionary philosopher Brian Thomas Swimme —whose stories awaken us to the interconnectedness of our planet. Come share your answer to the question, What will we discover next?
Thursday, July 21st @ 7pm in the Center Theater
A free screening of the acclaimed film Journey of the Universe. The film was be introduced by Mary Evelyn Tucker and afterwards, she and John Grim led an interactive discussion.
Copies of the companion book, also entitled Journey of the Universe, are available at Valley Bookstore.
Friday, July 22nd, Workshops at the Murie Ranch from 12 - 4:30 pm
A small group of participants engaged directly with both scholars about the Journey of the Universe.
The workshop participants continue to put the principles of Journey of the Universe into action with an ongoing working group. If you'd like more information or would like to get involved, please email Jen Simon at jen.m.simon@gmail.com.
