C3 COLLABORATION GRANT RECIPIENTS
Second Round Recipients
Second Round Recipients are those that have received previous C3 grants and become eligible for increased funding for their proposals.
Title: Youth Arts Education
Partners: Children’s Learning Center | Art Association | Grand Teton Music Festival | National Museum of Wildlife Art
Project Summary: After an incredible success with their first integrated arts partnership, Children’s Learning Center is expanding their project to offer a six-month project designed to broaden integrated arts experiences for more than 100 children under the age of 5. The project will also mentor 20 teachers in new ways of using the arts to teach literacy, math, science, and social skills.
Title: Fire Festival
Partners: Vista 360 | Dancer’s Workshop | Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Festival | pARTners | Teton County Library
Project Summary: A collaborative project to produce the 2013 Jackson Hole Fire Festival. Primary goal of the Fire Festival is to bring the community together to express gratitude to the natural world. The First Festival will take place over five days (June 17-21, 2013) and will celebrate the arts and culture of both Fujiyoshida, Japan, and Jackson, culminating in a spectacular, torch-lit street fair.

Title: Teton Media Collective
Partners: Art Association | Dancer’s Workshop | Central Wyoming College | Teton County Library
Project Summary: A collective group promoting digital media resources and connecting Teton County’s digital media projects and purchases. Teton Media Collective will offer a central “all-things-media” page and create a virtual gathering place. The project will purchase and pool digital media resources to increase the course offerings and workshops available throughout the community.
Title: Open Air Exhibition
Partners: Jackson Hole Public Art | Town of Jackson | National Museum of Wildlife Art
Project Summary: C3 funding supports the planning phase of the Open Air Exhibition. This grant will build a collaborative relationship between Jackson Hole Public Art, Town of Jackson, and the National Museum of Wildlife Art. Planning funds will also be used to integrate community-generated ideas into the Open Air Exhibition with the goal of making it a celebration of access to the arts in public spaces.

Partners: Off Square Theater Company | Teton Literacy Center | Russian Club of Jackson Hole | pARTners | Teton County School District #1
Project Summary: Off Square will focus its entire 2013 season on literacy, celebrating the written word as it translates to theater arts. Through collaboration with a variety of groups, they will encourage reading, promote community discussion, and enrich school curriculum by initiating complementary projects and events along the themes of the featured books.
Title: After-School Arts Immersion
Partners: Jackson Hole Children’s Museum | Art Association | Off Square Theater Company | Mobius | Teton County School District #1
Project Summary: The goal of this collaborative project is to bring together the wonders of art, theater, movement, science, and Spanish language for both preschool and elementary students. They will work through creative hands-on learning experiences across these disciplines to investigate how art, theater, movement, and science can all be connected and expressed creatively.
Title: Be A Colt
Partners: pARTners | Jackson Hole Middle School | Off Square Theater Company
Project Summary: How to Be a Colt will take approximately 420 Jackson Hole Middle School students on a multi-disciplinary project that explores what it means to be a colt (the school mascot). They will utilize training from community partners to work via performing and visual arts to explore the character traits of honesty, respect, empathy, and compassion.
Title: Letterpress Project
Partners: Teton ArtLab | Jackson Hole Historical Society and Museum | Teton County Library
Project Summary: Teton ArtLab recently acquired and are restoring a 1905 Chandler & Price press—and will be among the first presses in the country to modify it to work with digital techniques. Once the press is restored, the collaboration will feature adult and youth workshops, historical tours of the press, and public press demonstrations.
Title: Wyoming Born and Raised
Partners: Dancers’ Workshop | Off Square Theater Company | Jackson Hole Historical Society and Museum
Project Summary: Wyoming Born and Raised is a dance film conceived by Hole Dance Films, a program of Dancers’ Workshop, which will merge the worlds of historical and oral storytelling with modern dance and then record the results in a short film. Featuring the interview and story of Kathryn Mapes Turner and her family’s history with the Triangle X Ranch, the project will turn the creation of the film into a collaborative and community-oriented process.

Partners: Cultural Council of Jackson Hole | Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Festival | Center for the Arts | Wyoming Humanities Council
Project Summary: The winter TEDx event is slated to take place in February 2013 and will feature approximately 8-10 performances and presentations, varying from 5-15 minutes in length, unified by the shared theme, “EXTREME.” TEDx has been a popular Jackson event, featuring local speakers, a family-friendly environment, and free tickets.
