About C3:
In January 2012, the Center of Wonder launched a new grant initiative: Collaborating for a Creative Community or C3, a two year project designed to enhance Jackson’s creative community through partnerships that promote vibrancy in the arts, including youth education and innovative programming.
Through a unique approach to project-based collaboration, C3 will increase project-driven collaboration, increase access to arts and education, and, by extension, increase community usage of the Center for the Arts facilities.
Because three organizations are required to work together for a grant, C3 will improve collaboration; blend each organization’s strengths to produce more vibrant and efficient programs; support the generation of innovative ideas in the arts and education community; and provide professional development and mentoring opportunities for grant recipients.
StoneRiver Foundation plans to invest up to $300,000 over two years in the C3 project. C3 will engage donors to raise matching funds to leverage the program. Donations to help fund the C3 program will be applied directly to the funded projects.
